Matthew - Part 14

DISCUSSION QUESTIONS:

Read Matthew 9:35-38

Talk about a task or skill that someone passed onto you. How did they train you to do it? Did you watch, then help, then do it with their help?

How can we apply that same process to raising up and sending out disciples of Jesus?

What is the “harvest?”

What are some common reactions we have when we see the ugliness and brokenness of the world? How is Jesus’ response different?

How can we cultivate love for people?

Are you personally prone to look backwards with people in despair rather than look forward with hope? How can we become more hopeful people?

What is your next “yes” for Jesus?

Is the problem the size of the task of reaching the world for Jesus? Or is it the idleness of Christians? How can we do better?
