You don’t find community,
you build community.

Community.

At Northside Church we believe we were created to live within community. We need others walking with us through the good and bad of life. One of the best ways to find lasting community at Northside Church is through our community groups. These groups meet at various times and locations throughout the week.

To connect to our groups team about joining a group, simply fill out THIS FORM. You can also VIEW ALL GROUPS to get a better idea of groups near you.

FAQs

What are community groups?

Community Groups are comprised of people walking through the good, bad, and ugly of life while reminding one another of the gospel. Although community groups study the Bible together, in depth Bible study is not the primary focus of the group. Throughout the Bible, God worked primarily among groups of people. As we grow in love and care for one another, in the context of the local church, we show the world what it means to live in sacrificial gospel relationships.

Our groups focus on four practices: Participation - What is happening in our community that we can be a part of? Service - How can we serve inside and/or outside our church? Hospitality - How can we share meals and invite others into community? Fellowship - How will we practice Bible study, prayer, and care?

How do I get signed up for a group?

Simply fill out THIS FORM. You can also VIEW ALL GROUPS to see our groups based on location and date/time.

Why should I be a part of a group?

We are all created to be in community with one another. You need people alongside you, speaking truth into your life. Other people also need you as a friend, mentor, and brother/sister in Christ.

Is there a separate group for people in my stage of life?

No. Each group is made up of people from a wide range of ages and stages of life. We value diversity in our groups and believe we have more opportunities for growth if we lean on and learn from others who have varied life experiences.

Can anyone join a group?

Yes! Anyone who calls Northside Church home can join a community group. If you are newer to Northside, we encourage you to attend Discover Northside as a starting point prior to joining a group. This class happens every other month and will unpack the mission, vision, and strategy of Northside Church. Visit OUR EVENTS PAGE to sign up for the next one.

When do they meet?

Typically groups meet once a week through the spring, fall, and winter. Some groups meet in homes, while a few meet on campus at Northside.

Do I bring my kids?

Each group handles childcare differently. Some bring children and have a shared babysitter at the group while others choose to get individual babysitters at their homes. Childcare reimbursement is available. Your group leader can provide more information.

What happens after I sign up for a group?

Our groups team will reach out to you to discuss which group you are interested in. We try our best to accommodate specific requests. Some groups are larger than others and are unable to add additional people in their space. We regularly have new groups launching and will work with you to get you connected to a group.
