Christian Leadership

    1    Paul said his goal was to please God, not people (v4).

In what areas of your life are you most tempted to seek approval from others? What would it look like to reorient that desire toward pleasing God?

    2    Paul refused to use flattery or act from greed (v5–6).

How can we tell the difference between sincere encouragement and manipulative speech? How can we check our hearts when we give or receive praise?

    3    “We were gentle among you, like a nursing mother…” (v7).

Where in your leadership—whether at home, work, or church—do you need to grow in gentleness? What’s one practical way you can lead more tenderly this week?

    4    Paul shared not only the gospel but also his life (v8).

Who are the people God has placed around you to pour into relationally? Are you keeping a healthy balance between sharing truth and sharing life?

Christian Followership

    5    The Thessalonians received the word as the Word of God (v13).

What does it practically look like to submit to God’s Word in everyday decisions? Where are you tempted to follow culture or emotion over Scripture?

    6    They stayed faithful under pressure (v14–16).

Christian Partnership

    7    Paul longed to see them face to face (v17).

In an age of digital convenience, why is physical presence still vital in Christian relationships? Who in your life could benefit from more intentional “face to face” time?

    8    “You are our glory and joy” (v20).
