John 8:31-38

Discussion Questions:

Believe → Adopted → Abide → Free

What does abiding in God's Word look like in everyday life—not just on Sundays?

What are some things people are tempted to “abide in” besides Christ (success, comfort, politics, money, approval, etc.)? How have you seen those things disappoint?

How does knowing that God has adopted you as His son or daughter change the way you face fear, failure, or uncertainty?

Jesus says the truth sets us free. Can you share a time when believing and acting on God's truth brought freedom into your life?

Jesus teaches that sin is slavery (John 8:34). Why do people often view sin as freedom and obedience as restriction? What has your experience taught you?

What is one area of your life right now where you need to trust your Heavenly Father more fully and continue abiding in Christ instead of quitting or drifting away?

When life becomes difficult, what helps you remember that you are not a slave trying to earn God's approval, but a son or daughter already loved and adopted by the Father?
