We will be using the Meet me in the Bible: The Story of Jacob study book by Colleen Searcy. You can purchase the study on Amazon by clicking THIS LINK. This study will help teach you how to study the Bible on your own using the three steps to studying your Bible: Observe, Interpret, and Apply.

This Bible Study uses the inductive method of Bible Study. This may be new to some of you, but don’t let it scare you - it is exciting to study the Bible and to learn new ways to do that! If you have never done an inductive bible study before please watch before getting started.
The author of the Meet Me in the Bible series, Colleen Searcy, created some very helpful videos to help us understand the steps we will be doing each week in this Bible Study. When you click this link, you will see the heading titled, “How to Use the Meet Me in the Bible Framework”. Please watch all three videos (Observation, Interpretation, and Application). We cannot stress enough how helpful these videos are!
Complete Homework

1) Look through your Bible Study book and get familiar with it. Pages 1-9 in your book are helpful to read through.
2) Optional: Complete pages 13-14 for homework prior to our first evening together. These questions are so helpful with providing context to the book of Genesis which we will be studying.
