Foster Care & Adoption

At Northside, we aim to be a hub to care for children and their foster families and provide support to those in the adoption process.

Everyone can do something.

The Foster & Adoption Ministry exists to support families in our church who are answering the call to Foster Care, Respite Care, and Adoption. We come alongside them as a caring community, offering support groups, consistent care, and ongoing training through trusted ministry partners. We also create opportunities for our church family to get involved—whether by meeting practical needs or encouraging the families who are making a difference in the lives of children in care.

The need is great..

Approximately 11,000 children are in Georgia's foster care system.
Over 1600 children are waiting for placement.
The foster care system needs more churches to combat this crisis.

Participate with us..

  • Join A Care Team

Care Teams are groups designed to support Northside’s foster families. They provide meals, babysitting, prayer, and weekly support. By sharing the load together, we can offer consistent, sustainable care to families opening their homes to children in foster care.

  • Become A Foster Or Respite Family

The first step to becoming a foster or respite parent is attending training, which we offer in partnership with FaithBridge Foster Care. If you're interested in fostering, your journey begins with FaithBridge’s Encounter information meeting.

  • Current Family? Join A Community

We have a group of current Foster, Adoptive, & Respite parents from Northside Church who gather to listen, learn, and grow together. If you are currently a foster, respite, or adoptive mom, we would love for you to join us.

  • Provide Funding

You can help fund Northside Foster Care & Adoption Ministry by giving online using the link below. Your donations support children in care and the foster and adoptive families who serve them in our church community. Donations are 100% tax deductible.
