Ruth - Part 4

Ruth 4:1–22

Discussion Questions:

The Redeemer Shows Up:

How does Boaz’s public, lawful, and selfless approach at the city gate show us what kind of Redeemer Jesus is? What does it mean that our Redeemer “shows up” even when we don’t expect Him to?

The Cost of Redemption:

The unnamed redeemer wanted the field but not the person. What might that reveal about the difference between transactional love and covenant love—and how does Jesus model the latter?

Making Things New:

Naomi’s story moves from emptiness to fullness. What are some areas in your life (or someone else’s) where you’re asking God to “make things new”? How can we hold on in faith during the waiting?

God’s Hidden Hand:

Throughout Ruth, God never speaks audibly—yet His hand is visible in every turn. Where have you seen God’s hidden hand working behind the scenes in your own story?

Promises Kept:

Ruth’s story ends with David—and eventually Jesus. How does this genealogy remind us that God always keeps His promises, even across generations? What promise of God do you most need to cling to today?
