Discussion Questions

In the passage, the disciples are sent into a storm by Jesus. How does that challenge the way we typically think about hardship and God’s will?

You mentioned that their unbelief was a heart issue, not an information issue (cf. Mark 6:52). Where do you see that same tendency in your own life?

The “if you only knew” principle connects to God “passing by” in Exodus 33:22. How would your current situation change if you truly saw Jesus for who He is?

When you are in a “rowing against the wind” season, what is your natural response—control, fear, withdrawal, or faith? What would it look like to choose faith instead?

You highlighted “a lesson to learn, a path to follow, and a God to worship.” Which of those do you most need right now, and why?

The disciples’ situation changed when they received Jesus into the boat (cf. John 6:21). Practically, what does it look like for you to “invite Jesus in” during your current struggle?
