The Greeks said, “Sir, we wish to see Jesus”. Have everyone in the group name something that distracts Christians and churches from keeping Jesus as the main thing.
Jesus compared his death to a grain of wheat falling into the ground and bearing fruit.
What does this teach us about the necessity and fruitfulness of the cross? How do we avoid a crossless Christianity?
Which desire most often competes with your devotion to Jesus: the desire to feel something, have something, or be something? How does it influence your decisions?

Application
Jesus faced the cross by praying, “Father, glorify your name.” How could that prayer change the way you approach something difficult right now?
