A New Look at Northside

A New Look at Northside

by DeeDee Adams

When my husband Chris and I first moved to the area in the fall of 2014, we did what a lot of people do when searching for a new church: we Googled. We made a list of churches we wanted to visit based entirely on information we got from the church's webpage. If I'm being entirely honest, I'll confess that the more informative, the easier to use, and the better looking the website, the higher that church made it on my list of churches I wanted to visit.

Grey Matter Research did a study way back in 2012 and reported that 17 million non-church goers visited a church website in the past 12 months. [CONTINUE READING >]

New service times this Sunday

New service times this Sunday

This Sunday, June 5th, is the day for the service schedule change. We'll have one service at 9am in the small chapel and the second service will be at 10:30am in the main building. With the beginning of a new series and the move to a more convenient service schedule, this is a prime Sunday to invite neighbors, friends, and coworkers.

By having two service times, we can accommodate more people who prefer a later or earlier service time. Also, we encourage Northsiders to choose one hour for worship and another hour for service. The Schadt family will attend the 9am service and our kids will get to attend worship. At the 10:30am hour, our kids will go to KidSide and my wife April will have the opportunity to serve. If this works for your family, we encourage you to do the same.

The message will be the same for both services, but here's how they differ:

  • Meets in the small chapel at the back of Northside's campus
  • Smaller worship setting
  • Childcare for newborn though preschool
  • Music is accoustic-guitar based

  • Meets in the main building / gymnasium
  • Larger worship setting
  • KidSide worship experience for newborn through 5th grade
  • Music is by our full worship band

By having two services, Northsiders can choose to attend one service and find and an area of service at the other.

See you (earlier) Sunday morning. We'll still have plenty of Good Folks Coffee on hand.
